Something Sweet

MURALS/INSTALLATIONS

Sweet Tooth Cafe is home to crepes, gelato, Turkish coffee, decadent milkshakes and many other treats. Located in the heart of Springboro, the dessert destination opened in the fall/winter 2021 season.

I had the opportunity to create a 40’W x 10’H dimensional mural that incorporated some of my woodworking skill. After 14 sheets of plywood and layers of paint, the mural was decked out with two layers of chocolate drips, sprinkles and a floating logo feature. Sweet Tooth’s owners, Rana and Hammad, were looking to capture that hometown fun vibe that welcomed all families.

The project visually began with a scaled version rendered with a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator. Since this was more than just paint on a wall, having exact measurements for the plywood cuts were crucial early on in the process. This helped determine sheet count and project estimates.
